FAQs
How often would we meet?
Every two weeks is usually best when we start. This gives enough time for practice between sessions and still keeps momentum. In some cases, folks want to meet a little more often at first to get traction with transformation. We can do that.
What does a session with you look like?
They all look a little different depending on what you need/want. We usually start with a brief mindfulness/centering exercise. Then I can start with questions that help draw out some of the strengths and challenges you might be facing. We explore together the causes of the challenges and the ways that your strengths can be leveraged to overcome them. We then set specific practices each meeting for you to work on that will help take you to your goals.
Is there a framework you use?
Yes. I draw from a number of frameworks including the Emotional Intelligence framework from 6seconds. I use Appreciative Inquiry and systems thinking strategies as well. I’ve developed my own mindful leadership practices and visualizations. I have a bank of useful practices from others based on years of mindfulness practice and training.
How many sessions will it take?
That depends. I’ve worked with people regularly for years. I’ve also done short and effective series with people who just needed to get “unstuck” with something. For most people, I would count on at least 4 sessions to really make the type of improvements that last.
